How we verify data

Sources and dates

Every important figure shows where it came from and the date we last checked it. If a figure has no source it is not published. We do not assume public data is free to republish; we record what each source allows.

Unknown is not zero

When we have no verified value we show “Not yet confirmed”. A missing prize, rating or result is never turned into 0.

Identity matching

A player is added only after the correct name spelling is confirmed from a reliable source. A result is never linked to a player by name alone; uncertain matches go to a person for review. Players can share a name, so each profile has its own permanent ID.

FargoRate

A FargoRate is shown only when the player is confidently matched to the exact FargoRate ID. Heyball players without a FargoRate use the separate WPA Heyball rankings. We never convert WPA points into a Fargo-style number.

Rankings

Rankings are shown with the list name, the publication date and the source. Always read the date: rankings move.

Titles and finals

Counts on a profile come only from results published on this site. They may be lower than a player's true career total until older results are added.

Career records

Records such as highest break appear only when documented by a source. We do not calculate unofficial records.

Equipment

Cue butt, shaft and tip (brand, model and tip hardness) are shown by discipline when verified. Equipment is not sponsorship, and cue extensions are not tracked.

Sponsorship status

• Verified: confirmed by the brand (official roster, announcement or written confirmation), with the evidence linked.
• Player-reported: the player says so; the brand has not confirmed.
• Unverified: no confirmation.
• Historical: confirmed in the past, no longer current.
• Needs re-confirmation: older confirmation that should be refreshed.

Imports and review

Results from organizers or approved feeds wait in a review queue. A person approves or rejects each one, and every decision is logged. We do not scrape Facebook or any other site without permission.

Demo data

While the site is being built, some pages show fictional records marked Demo. They are not real people, results or rankings, and demo pages are hidden from search engines.

Privacy and minors

Profiles of minors are never shown publicly. Anyone can ask for a correction or removal through the correction link on any page.
